What Happens in Your First 7 Days with JobCapture (Day-by-Day Timeline)
Most of the JobCapture System is live within 7 days of your onboarding call. Missed-call text-back — the most impactful feature — typically goes live within 1–2 days. Review automation is active by Day 3–4. Your trade-ready website and Google Business Profile setup complete the picture by Day 5–7. You don't need to build anything or install software. You give us the details; we set it up. You approve it; it goes live. Here's exactly what happens at each stage.
Before Day 1 — The Onboarding Call
After signing up, you'll have a short onboarding call. This is where we gather everything we need.
In this call, you'll agree:
- The wording for your missed-call text-back message (we have a template, or you can customise)
- Your business name, trading phone number, and service area
- Trade details and areas you cover, for the website and GBP
- Any specifics you want in your review request message
This call usually takes 20–30 minutes. You don't need to prepare anything — we walk through it.
By the end of the onboarding call, we have everything we need to build your system. You don't need to chase us or follow up. The setup starts immediately.
Day 1–2 — Missed-Call Text-Back Goes Live
This is the first thing we set up, because it has the most immediate impact.
Within 1–2 days of your onboarding call, your missed-call text-back is active on your existing business number.
Here's what that means in practice: any call that goes unanswered — whether you're on a job, driving between sites, in a noisy environment where you didn't hear the phone, or simply busy — triggers an automatic SMS to the caller within 30 seconds. The message uses the wording you approved in onboarding. It comes from your number. The caller receives it before they've had a chance to ring the next tradesman.
You get a notification when a missed call occurs and a text has gone out. When you're free — at the end of the job, on your way to the next one — you call back. By then, the caller has already heard from you. They're expecting your call. The conversation starts warmer.
From this moment forward, you're already converting missed enquiries that would previously have gone cold.
This is the missed-call text-back feature working in full.
Day 3–4 — Review Engine and Follow-Up Active
By Day 3 or 4, your automated review request system is live.
After each completed job, a text goes to the customer — at a delay you agreed in onboarding (typically the same day or the following morning). That text contains a direct one-tap link to your Google Business Profile review page.
The link opens the review form immediately — no searching, no navigating. The customer just needs to type a few sentences.
The customer doesn't get routed to a different experience based on whether you think they'll leave a positive review. Every customer gets the same request. This keeps you compliant with Google's guidelines.
Over time, this builds your review count steadily — 3, 5, 8 new reviews in the first month as the system works through your completed jobs. Each new review contributes to your Google Maps ranking. More reviews means better placement. Better placement means more calls.
At the same time, your follow-up automation goes live. This includes automated messages to customers after jobs — checking in, staying in touch — and quote follow-ups for enquiries that haven't converted. If someone requested a quote and hasn't responded, an automated nudge goes out at a set interval. No manual action from you.
This is the 5-star review engine and follow-up system in operation.
Day 5–7 — Website and Google Business Profile Live
Your trade-ready website goes live in this window.
It's a fast, mobile-first site built specifically for your trade. It includes your business name, trade, service area, a short description, and your contact details. The contact form connects to the same missed-call text-back logic — so any form submission triggers an automatic reply in seconds, the same as a missed call.
Your Google Business Profile is set up or optimised during this phase. We set the correct primary category, add your service area, fill in the services section, write your business description, and upload any photos you've provided. This is the local visibility component of the system.
By Day 7, every part of the system is live and running:
| Feature | Status |
|---|---|
| Missed-call text-back | Live (Day 1–2) |
| Review requests (automated) | Live (Day 3–4) |
| Follow-up automation | Live (Day 3–4) |
| Trade-ready website | Live (Day 5–7) |
| Google Business Profile | Set up and optimised (Day 5–7) |
What You'll Notice in the First Week
The first thing most tradesmen notice is a change in their callback conversations.
Before: ring someone back two hours later, they don't pick up, you leave a voicemail, never hear back. The job is gone.
After: ring someone back who received your text 20 minutes ago. They answer immediately. They already know you're a tradesman who was on a job, not someone who ignores calls. The conversation starts with trust already established.
Most tradesmen also notice they're booking more of their callbacks — because callers are still warm and expecting to hear from them.
What You'll Notice in the First Month
Within the first month:
- Your Google review count starts climbing. Not dramatically at first — 3–8 new reviews from real customers is a realistic first month. But each one contributes.
- Your callback conversion rate stays higher than it was before.
- Past customers start receiving automated follow-ups, generating repeat enquiries you'd have otherwise missed.
What You'll Notice in the First Quarter
Over 3 months with the full system running:
- Your Google Maps ranking typically improves as reviews accumulate. More reviews → higher placement → more organic calls.
- The compound effect kicks in: more calls, more jobs, more reviews, better ranking, more calls.
- Follow-up automation is quietly recovering quotes that might otherwise have gone cold.
The System Live Guarantee™
We guarantee your missed-call text-back is live and tested within 14 days of completing your onboarding call. If it isn't — for any reason on our end — your next month is free. No discussion needed.
